Hello My Friend,

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit...So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” - Romans 8:1-4,8-11.

The word condemnation means the judicial act of declaring one guilty, and dooming one to punishment. The punishment for sin is death and hell. The security of the saved believer from this punishment rests upon the one and only foundation of Christ's finished work, which was His death, burial, and resurrection. It is without a doubt the greatest comfort to all who are in Christ Jesus that this punishment ceases to exist. While we are going to face some difficulties in life because we carry around this flesh, we can rest assure that the indwelling Holy Spirit does in the believer what the law never could do, He gives us deliverance from the power of sin, quickens us for His service, imparts never ending assurance, and inspires us to keep going for God in the likeness of His Son.

No one has to end up in hell, God will save anyone who believes in Christ, admits they are a sinner, and asks Jesus to save them. People make the mistake of thinking that God only forgives certain types of people, but this is false and that is why Jesus visited the rich and the poor. Some also believe that they have to purchase their salvation, this is false also, no one can buy their salvation, only through Jesus Christ can we be saved. This is illustrated when Jesus met with a man named Zacchaeus.

“And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house. And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully. And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner. And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”- Luke 19:3-10.

A publican or tax collector was known as the wealthiest, most wicked, and corrupted position known during that time and Zacchaeus was the leader of them all. A tax collector was in charge of collecting the taxes from the people to give to the government, most tax collectors took more than required by the law and pocketed it. When Zacchaeus heard that Jesus was passing by he wanted to see just what Jesus was all about, he was short so he climbed up in a tree to see Him. Little did he know that Jesus was coming right to him, he quickly came down, received Him joyfully and was saved. God will save anyone who wants to be saved, He does not force anyone, He calls everyone, but it is of our own free will that we receive Him, but we receive Him to be saved. “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” - Romans 10:10.

The Sadducees did not believe in resurrection, but they tried to debate Jesus, “Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man's brother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother...Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is she? for seven had her to wife. And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.”- Luke 20:28,33-38.

If you know Jesus and live by Him than you are always going to have someone trying to debate you, that is why it is important that we learn the truth by reading all of God's Word on a regular basis. The religious people were always trying to debate Jesus, they knew just enough Scripture to try and make it look as though they were following God's laws, but all they were doing is making themselves appear righteous before the people. The Scripture that Jesus quoted from came from here, “And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I...Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.” - Exodus 3:1-4,6.

God is the only living God, inside the flesh there is a soul inside every person and that soul will either be among the living or dead when the flesh gives out and dies, the soul that accepts Jesus Christ as their Savior is a living soul and goes up to heaven to live with Him there until He returns. Moses, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are all living souls living in heaven with Jesus along with every family member, friend, acquaintance, and foe that admitted that they were sinners and asked Jesus to save them. It does not matter who we are, where we came from, or how much we sinned, all who accept Christ as their Savior are living and are children of the only living God. “And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.” - Romans 9:26. Praise God!

God knows who are His, who will be His, and who will not be His, including those who think their religion or works are making them one of His. The truth comes down to this, “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” - I John 5:12. If you have been deceived into thinking that your religion, works, or trying to be without sin are what get you to heaven it is time to talk to Jesus and ask Him to save you, He is the only way to everlasting life and being a child of the only living God. Besides that, you could save one more soul. “For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe...Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.” - I Timothy 4:10,15,16.

Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
Lord, I boldly declare that You are the living God whom I serve. Only a God like You can turn evil into good, exchange sorrow for joy, or offer life beyond the grave. May I fearlessly proclaim You to be the Lord and Savior of my life and tell of all Your wondrous deeds. I join in with the rest of Your children in asking that whenever I open my mouth, Your words may be given to me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the Gospel to those who have not yet heard or understood its meaning for their lives. I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina

Hello My Friend,

“Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee. For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God...And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you. And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell. But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.” - Deuteronomy 4:23,24,27-31.

There is nothing more exciting than to receive Christ as your Savior, it is as if all the weight of burdens, shame, and guilt melt off your shoulders, and for a time you feel as though you can conquer the world. It does not take long though before Satan shows up and tries to steal your thunder, bringing back those burdens and then some. The key to overcoming Satan is reminding yourself that God is always with you, you are not perfect, you are going to mess up, but God is always with you. Why can't you see Him? We lose sight of God when other things take first place before Him, things such as people, jobs, hobbies, addictions. Anything that takes priority in our lives over God becomes our god, and while God never leaves us, He does allow us to fall. However, if you have accepted Christ as your Savior, God is still and always will be with you, even if you walked away from Him twenty-five years ago. The key to seeing Him again, seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

Most people long for a relationship with God, but the number one reason why most people fall away from Him is not wanting to give up the life they have, it is a big decision to give up everything we come to know and love for a God that we have not known. However, if we never take that step we can never know the amazing life awaiting us by putting God first. Jesus explains this further, “And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them, If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish...So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.” - Luke 14:25-30,33.

A disciple is someone who follows Christ and allows Him to reign in their lives, this does not mean that we are to literally hate everyone we come to know and love because we follow Him, it means that we are to love God so much that everything else in life seems insignificant. While all these people will let you down at one point in your life, God is always with you, even when you feel that He has let you down. The great thing about allowing Christ to reign in our lives is that He replaces the not so good things with good things, one step at a time, and before you know it a rewarding and fulfilling life is lived. “And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.” -Luke 12:29-31.

So, you were saved and have gotten away from God? Think you are no longer saved or that God has cast you out? Think again. You are still saved and God loves you all the same. God is always with you, even if you forsake Him, He just stands back and waits for you to come to Him first. Jesus explains this further in a parable, “And he said, A certain man had two sons: And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.”- Luke 15:11-14,17-20.

Many people fall away from God for a season, but God does know who are truly His. I was one of those who left Him for a season, I went my own way, thinking I was missing something, I suffered and was ashamed of all that I allowed myself to get into, but I humbled myself, sought God, and He helped me out of every one of those dumb situations that I had gotten myself into. God has given me a richer, more fuller life, with Him in it and He will do the same for anyone who seeks Him. Jesus said, “All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” - Matthew 11:27-30. Only when we give our burdens to Him, even when we create them ourselves can we find rest for our souls and even our minds and bodies too.

Those that do not seek God through Christ will have a rude awakening, Jesus gives us an interesting glimpse of a saved and damned soul through a poor man named Lazarus who believed and a rich man who thought his money could buy him everything. “And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.” - Luke 16:22-28.

If those who died before you could talk to you they will tell you either how wonderful heaven is or how horrible hell is. No one has to burn in torment for eternity, anyone can be saved, but they have to seek Him first. Once saved, always saved, but you must be saved. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him...For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous...That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.” - Romans 5:8,9,17-19,21.

Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
Lord, thank You for sending Your Son , Jesus to save me, I know that I am not perfect, I know that I am going to mess up again, but I also know that You are always with me and that You will never forsake me. If I get in a bind all I have to do is seek You with all my heart and I know I will find You right there where You have been all along. Lord, watch over me, guide me, and be with me in all that I do, keep me in the love of Christ, who is my only rest, strength, and hope for my burdens. I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina

A Witness And A Testimony

Hello My Friend,

“Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men. For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.” - Titus 3:1-8.

Those that have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior have received the wonderful gift of eternal life. Regardless of how bad we have been or how bad we may be in the future, that gift will never be taken away from us. Although those whom are faithful servants of Christ walk daily with Him, it is not our works that give us eternal life, but our faith in and acceptance of Jesus Christ, the one and only begotten Son of God. While our works do not save us, it is the works after we are saved that are profitable, most of all, being a witness and a testimony to others. If Christ is in you, it would be wise to act like He is in you, otherwise no one would know why it is so important that they accept Him into theirs as well.

After Jesus sent His disciples out to preach the Gospel to the lost, He called seventy more and gave them the exact same instructions on how they were to preach the Gospel as well. “After these things the LORD appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way. And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again. And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.”- Luke 10:1-7.

Jesus said, the harvest is great, meaning there are many souls that need to be witnessed too, but there are few who are actually willing to go out and do it. Therefore, He chooses them Himself and you are one of them. There is no better feeling than to see someone bow their head and trust Jesus Christ as their Savior, it's truly joyous. In fact, there is a party in heaven every time a soul is saved. “Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.” - Luke 15:10.

While there is no greater joy than to witness a person accepting Christ as their Savior, we need to be careful not to boast about it so much as to think that we are the ones who saved them. We are merely the messengers, God is the one who saves them as He opens their hearts to hear His Word. When the seventy returned to Jesus, jumping with joy over their victory, Jesus warned them not to boast over themselves.

“And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him. And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see: For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.”- Luke 10:17-24.

While we do have the power in us to put Satan in his place, we must be aware of spiritual pride, which has been the destruction of many. Satan is always lurking about just waiting to catch us off guard, he is subject only to God, not us, while he cannot take our salvation away from us he can cause a lot of trouble. Therefore, let Jesus praise us and not ourselves, since all our victories over Satan, are obtained by the power derived from Jesus Christ, Himself and when we give Him the glory He gives us the glory for our labor. Christ has always resisted the proud, and gives grace to the humble. The more dependent we are on His teaching, help, and blessings, the more we shall know both of the Father and of the Son. “Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” - Romans 8:33,34.

Satan was once one of God's angels, but he tried to make himself above God and after a great battle God cast him out of heaven. “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.” - Isaiah 14:12-15.

You are a witness and a testimony of the wonderful, miraculous, live giving life that God has given you. One great promise that Jesus assures for our faithfulness to God is to assist us in prayer, and encourage us to expect blessings by it. Jesus said, “And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” - Luke 11:9-13.

If any one asks of God, in the name of Christ, and in faith, whether it be bread for the body, food for the soul, or any need, whether temporal or spiritual, it shall be given according to the riches of the grace of God, who is rich unto all that call upon him, in sincerity and truth. “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” - Matthew 21:22.

Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
Lord, I want to be a witness and a testimony for others to see the amazing life that they too can have when they place their faith and trust in Your Son. I know Satan is on my back and waiting for me to fall, but by Your power I know I can remain standing. I even have confidence in knowing that if I do fall You are always there to pick me up. Thank You, Lord for all the joys, sorrows, and tears you place before me to be a witness and a testimony for Your glory. In Jesus' name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
