Surviving the Tribulation

KJB Daily Devotion – Following Jesus In Every Chapter
Date: Saturday, December 26, 2015
Chapters: Revelation 6-8
Message Title: Surviving the Tribulation

Hello My Friend,

You do not have to know Jesus to know that there is something going on in the world today, natural disasters, crazy people, wicked and corrupt behavior, not to mention the lack of respect and discipline the youth have. Those of us who walk with Jesus daily cannot help, but question whether or not we are getting closer to His return and the tribulation beginning. Well, let me tell you, every day is one day closer, and as Christians, there is no better time for us to step it up and be that example and witness the world needs to see Jesus before it's too late. “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?” - 2 Peter 3:10-12.

It was around 534 BC that Daniel saw visions similar to what John is seeing, it was then that God showed him the things that would come to pass during the tribulation, which is just before Jesus will return to earth to reign for a thousand years before final judgment takes place. John watches as Jesus opens each of the seven seals from the book, revealing the contents that would plague and destroy the earth little by little. The sixth seal revealed something much different than the rest, it showed the sate of the people.

And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” - Revelation 6:1,12-17.

hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;” Many people think their power and or position in the world will save them from judgment, but they are in for a shock, and huge awakening. By the way, none of these proud egos went to the Lamb, they all knew He was capable of saving them, yet they were too afraid to receive Him. Who will be able to stand? Only those who have applied the shed blood of the Lamb upon their souls. There is no respect of persons with God, position, rank, title, and honor on earth mean absolutely nothing to God, it will not save us from death, hell, or any of the terrible things about to come in this world. The only way to be saved from it all is by believing in and receiving Christ as your Saviour. “For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.” - 2 Peter 2:4,9,10.

The plagues upon the earth are just the beginning, now Jesus reveals the destruction of the earth. When the tribulation will begin and how long it will last is unknown, but not even death could save us. Those who are saved will either be resurrected or raptured off the earth and brought to safety. In the midst of His revealing the contents of the seals, Jesus reveals who will have the seal of God that will save us.

And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.” - Revelation 7:1-4,9-12.

till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.” The sealed servants of our God are those who have received Christ as their Saviour before their physical death or His return. We can thank God that He will not return until the very last soul to believe in and receive Him is saved. While it may seem as though we are fast approaching the tribulation, it is not coming yet, unfortunately it is going to get worse, what we are witnessing is just the beginning of what is to come, including the Antichrist. “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.” - Mark 13:6-8,24-26.

Upon opening the seventh seal there was silence in heaven for half an hour, then follows a vision of seven angels, who stood before God, who had seven trumpets given to them. “And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets. And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.” - Revelation 8:1-5.

“that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints” God's saints are not those who seem to be perfect and have made such a great impression upon man that they were declared a saint by man after they died, His saints are those who are saved. While we are to be an example and witness of Jesus in us, that is not what makes us a saint, receiving Him as our Saviour does that, but what we do to reveal Him in us is what counts not what we do to please man. God's judgment and the signs of Jesus returning will be clearly seen as we see more apostasy, wars, natural disasters, famines, hatred, immorality, and death. We who are saved may have to face much of our own tribulations due to the world getting worse, but we have much to look forward to as we endure.

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door. Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.” - James 5:7-11.

Today's Prayer: Jesus, The love that You have for us is just astounding, those who believe in and receive You will never fully understand how You willfully gave Your life to save us not only from death, but the destruction of the world, but we do understand that we are redeemed by Your precious blood. You were born to die for us, but You rose up in victory and know because of that that we will too. When we consider the depth of Your love let us be more determined to be faithful to You until You return and bring us to safety. Help us to endure the tribulation that comes our way by keeping our eyes on You, knowing that we will have eternal life with You. In your name, Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina

The Christ Of Christmas

KJB Daily Devotion – Following Jesus In Every Chapter
Date: Friday, December 25, 2015
Chapters: Revelation 3-5
Message Title: The Christ Of Christmas

Hello My Friend,

Did you ever watch Santa Claus Is Coming To Town? It's a classic Christmas cartoon that I have watched since I was little. When Nicholas decided he could only deliver Christmas gifts once a year, he chose the holiest day of the year, Christmas Eve. Now, I am not one of those people who tell you that Santa is Satan, because he is not, nor that you shouldn't celebrate Christmas because it's a pagan holiday. That's ridiculous, if anyone ever took the time to learn who Nicholas was, they would see that he was an ordinary Christian man, who gave gifts to orphans on Christmas Eve (early Christmas morning). As we celebrate Christmas, let us not forget the greatest gift of all, Jesus Christ. After all, there would not be a Christmas if not for Christ. “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.” - Luke 2:10-12.

I always find it ironic that we study the end of the world during a time that celebrates the birth of the only man who could save us from the end of the world, but think about this, it is His death that was more important than His birth. Now, as Jesus continues telling John what to write in His letters to the seven churches of Asia, He has something quite different to say to the church in Philadelphia. It was seated between the borders of Mysia and Lydia, a very small church, it would probably seem weak and worthless as far as the world was concerned, but Jesus commended them for their strength, gave them an assurance that their labor was not in vain, but also gave them a warning.

And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.” - Revelation 3:7-12.

I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation,” As the days draw closer of Christ returning, you see, the devil is working overtime to get as many Christians as he can diverted away from the truth and caught up in the world. It is only by the power of Christ in us and walking with Him daily that we can overcome his temptations. We fall into temptation when we take our eyes off Christ. “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” - James 2:12-15.

There are many churches that talk about Christ and boast of all they do for God and people, but they are dead, meaning they are living by the Gospel or teaching it. Very few people who are brought up in false religion will receive Christ because they are trusting in what their religion tells them, but make no mistake, every knee will bow. After Jesus instructs John what to write to the churches, He gave him another vision.

And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.” - Revelation 4:4-7.

And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone:” This is of course Jesus. Jasper, a stone of dazzling brilliance and colors, Sardine (sardius) stone, a stone of a blood-red color, these represent the splendor, holiness, judgments, and sacrifices of the only God and King, Jesus Christ. The rainbow, of course represents the covenant of promise which God has made with all His people. The emerald, represents the reviving and refreshing nature of the new covenant. Twenty-four seats around the throne, were filled with twenty-four elders, representing the entire church of God. Their sitting around the throne represents the honor, rest, and enjoyment they have in being near Him. They were clothed in white, the color of righteousness, in which all His saints will be adorned. They also had on their heads crowns of gold, signifying the crown of life they received for their obedience to receiving Him. Christians will face a lot of trials over the years, but they too will receive a crown. “Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” - 2 Timothy 4:8.

All who remain faithful to Jesus no matter what they face, and this includes times when all we have is the strength to say "Help Me, Jesus" can find comfort and peace as they patiently await for things to come to pass. Jesus will come in the blink of an eye and all whom have put their faith and trust in Him will be saved from all the deceitfulness and wickedness that Satan is going to place upon the people of the world. Then John sees something even more amazing, a book, a book that no one in heaven or earth can open, except Jesus Christ.

And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” - Revelation 5:1-5,8-10.

behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda,” Christ is the only one worthy to open the book that controls the fate of all mankind. He receives the praises of the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders, and afterwards an innumerable multitude of His people acknowledging they were redeemed through His blood. The whole creation, worshiped Him, giving honor, glory, and power to God and the Lamb for ever. One day, every knee will bow and confess Jesus as King, but only those who are redeemed with His blood will sing a new song. “For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” - Romans 14:11,12.

Today's Prayer: God, Every where we go people are always trying to get us to doubt Your Son or compromise our living for You in order to suit their needs. Lord, give us the strength to endure these trials and all the circumstances we face as we live our lives for You, and give us Your wisdom and power to endure temptations and those trying to divert us away from You. In Jesus' name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you, and Merry Christmas

Being A Witness For Christ

KJB Daily Devotion – Following Jesus In Every Chapter
Date: Thursday, December 24, 2015
Chapters: Revelation 1-2
Message Title: Being A Witness For Christ

Hello My Friend,

The Book of Revelation is the twenty-seventh book of the New Testament, the sixty-sixth and final book of the Bible and contains twenty-two chapters. The author of the book is the Apostle John and it was written to the seven churches in Asia and to all believers. The purpose of the book was to give assurance of Christ's return and warn of His judgment. What we are to learn from the book is that God always does what He says, judgment is coming, and only those who's names are are written in the Book of life will endure it. “He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” - Revelation 21:7,8.

As we come to the end of the year we all have things we would like to have or not have done, which is great that we have a new year and new outlook to look forward to, but if we do not work on the issues we have it's going to be another year of the same thing. And as Christians, even serving God can become mundane and dull. Life in general can literally suck the life out of doing things for God, we may be going through the motions, but we are not really into it. This can cause us to leave our first love, which is Christ. The word revelation means the act of revealing or disclosing, the Book of Revelation is God revealing His final purpose for all mankind. One Sunday morning as John was praying Jesus appeared, literally, in a vision, as clear as the day, Jesus asks him to write down what He had to say and send it to the seven churches in Asia.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,” - Revelation 1:1-5.

and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;” These are not actually seven spirits, but the infinite perfect Spirit of God, in whom there is a diversity of gifts and operations. He is before the throne as God made, so He governs, all things by His Spirit. The number seven is sacred, it indicates fullness, perfection, and is also the symbol of rest. I can understand that reading the Book of Revelation can be a bit overwhelming, even before I dedicated my life to Christ I use to be afraid to read the book because I feared the end of the world. However, as I grew in the Lord I learned that many of my fears I had were false, I was only listening to what people said rather than what Jesus says will happen when He returns. We are truly blessed to have the truth before us, and while we may not understand everything, we need not fear because we have Jesus on our side. “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” - John 10:28.

Churches are not what hold the Spirit of God, it is the people who are saved that bring Him into those walls. They may have thousands of people in them, but if they do not have Christ, they are dead churches. As John continues to see the vision he hears a voice, he got so scared that he dropped to the floor. “And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.” - Revelation 1:12,13,17-20.

I saw seven golden candlesticks;” These represent the seven churches that form the universal Church of Christ, all Christian churches have been formed by one of these seven. The stars represent the angels of the church, or the pastors. The pastor, bishop, or overseer, has the care over that flock, on him the entire congregation lies upon, and he will answer for all the souls he watched over at the judgment seat of Christ. “and have the keys of hell and of death.” As much as God loves every person He creates, He will not save all, and Christ has the keys to death and hell. When a person believes His Gospel and accepts Him as their Saviour, He locks the door of eternal death hell to that soul. Although they physically die (unless He returns before then), they will resurrect upon His returning and be live with Him forever. “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” - 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17.

At one time, the seven churches were healthy and prosperous, that had received letters from Peter and Paul. He first starts with the church of Ephesus, Ephesus was the influential capital city of Asia Minor (now Turkey) on the Aegean Sea, the Apostle Paul spent a lot of time there, as well as Peter and Timothy. The Ephesians were doing well at serving God, they studied the Bible and taught the right doctrine so well that they could call out a false prophet anywhere, but somehow they lost the zeal they had for Christ.

Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.” - Revelation 2:1-5.

because thou hast left thy first love.” Thousands of people gather in churches baring the name of Christ, but not a mention of the Gospel is spoken. The most important thing we can do to serve God is telling the lost about Christ, and unless we are witnessing to others, we are going to lose sight of the meaning of why God has called us in the first place. Trust me, there is no better joy or satisfaction to our soul than seeing someone bow their head and asking Christ to save them. That's why it is important that we not only serve God, but keep the love of Christ shining in us by walking in His Spirit, and being that light that leads others to Him. “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” - Galatians 5:16,17,22,23.

Today's Prayer: God, You have given us the key to open the door to a life that is satisfying to the body, soul, and spirit. The key is Jesus Christ, and while we know we are saved just by believing in and accepting Him as our Saviour, no joy on earth comes more than being a witness for Him. As the circumstances in our lives drain us of that joy and keep us from our first love, they also drain us from the joy of life itself, even when serving You. Lord, touch every heart, comfort every grieving and battered soul, ease every worried mind, and give them the peace that only You can give. Give us the power to get back to being the light You need to bring others to Your Son as the day is quickly approaching for His return. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina

The Truth Does Set Us Free

KJB Daily Devotion – Following Jesus In Every Chapter
Date: Wednesday, December 23, 2015
Chapters: 2,3 John, & Jude
Message Title: The Truth Does Set Us Free

Hello My Friend,

The Books of 2 & 2 John are the twenty-fourth, fifth books of the New Testament and sixty-third, fourth books of the Bible. 2 John was written by the John to the elect lady and her children, it contains one chapter and was written around 90 AD. In this short letter, John cautions believers to be faithful to sound doctrine of Christ and warn them against false teachers. What we are to learn from the book, we are not to fellowship with those who cause us to follow and live by the wrong doctrine. “If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.” - 2 John 10,11. 3 John was written to a man named Gaius, written around 90 AD also. The purpose of the letter was to commend Gaius for his faith and hard work, but also stop some people causing trouble in the church. What we are to learn from the book, God wants His children to walk in His truths. “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” - 3 John 1:4.

There are hundreds of Christmas programs, while a scarce few mention Jesus, the majority
of them use the Christmas season as a time of self reflection, in fact, Jesus haters do everything they can to try and remove the fact that He is the true reason for the season. And let me tell you, they are doing a good job at it. John gives the essentials of a personal walk with the Saviour in a day and age when many deceivers were in the world, and it is as if he were speaking in this present day. The Apostle warns the lady elect to walk in the ways of Christ, but watch out for false teachers, those claiming they know Christ, but teaching a false doctrine.

I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father. And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.” - 2 John 1:4-8.

“And this is love, that we walk after his commandments.” As I said yesterday, the love we give is different from the love of Christ, which we are to have toward all. Following God's commands is not hard, I am talking about a personal relationship with Christ that not only changes you, but those around you. The lady is not one woman, but an entire body of people, the body of Christ. You see, Christ does not see us as men or women, but souls, therefore, anyone who believes and receives Him becomes His bride, His lady elect. We are saved by faith the second we believe in His death, burial, and resurrection, and accept that He alone is the only way to escape the eternal punishment of death and hell. There is a reason why we are not to fellowship with unbelievers, and this includes those who combine works with salvation, they bring us down a wrong path, a path that we have to stand before Christ and answer.

And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:” - Revelation 22:12-18.

God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:All the books in the Bible are inspired, meaning they were told by the Holy Spirit what to write, many times you can see that it is not the writer speaking, but God Himself. God finds great joy in seeing His children walking and living not only by faith, but obedience to His Word.

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers; Which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well: Because that for his name's sake they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles. We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be fellowhelpers to the truth.” - 3 John 1:4-8.

that we might be fellowhelpers to the truth.A person, saved or not, should be able to spot Christ in a believer, they may not know it is Him at the time, but believe me, people know the difference between a good person and one who walks with Christ. Jesus haters will despise you, but in the midst of them will be a few that will come to Him through your obedience to God, and that's what it's all about. Being obedient has nothing to do with our salvation, but everything to do with honoring God and seeing others get saved as a result. Never underestimate the power of God to use you in any situation that will bring the lost to Christ. “Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.” - James 5:19,20.

Jude is the twenty-
sixth book of the New Testament and sixty-fifth book of the Bible, it was written by Jude (the brother of James and earthly brother of Jesus by Mary and Joseph) and it was written to the members of the churches in Palestine, Asia, and all Christians. The purpose of the letter was to remind them of the judgment coming and false teachers. What we are to learn from the letter is, we must always be on alert of those who divert believers from the truth of God's Word. “Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” - Jude 1:21.

They can try to change God's Word through a fake version of what looks like a Bible, they can even try to twist the Scriptures to make it look like they are telling the truth, but they cannot change God. He didn't treat the Jews any different than He treats us, and if you think about it, He was just as merciful under the law as He is to us. Jude, also
one of the twelve Apostles of Christ, reminds us that we must know the true Gospel, the death, burial, and resurrection of our perfect Saviour and to be aware of those who corrupt it.

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage. But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.” - Jude 1:3-5,16-18.

turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness,” As the days approach of Christ returning the world is going to get much darker and more corrupt than we can ever imagine, if you think it is bad now, think what it will be like even ten years from now. And this is why we who know the truth must not stop revealing it to those who do not, and even to those who do not want to hear it. You want to know how false doctrine gets in the church? It's this very reason, they do not want to hear and do what God says. It's like the second we are told not to do something we immediately want to do it, even if we never did it before. Make no mistake, while God is merciful, there will only be so much time before that mercy runs out for those who do not believe or have rejected Him. “What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.” - Romans 9:14-16.

Today's Prayer: God, Thank you for showing me your truths, and using me to be an example to walk in them. As I grow closer to Your Son, it is not always easy to forsake the things I learned, lived, and loved in the world, but now that He is in me, I don't want them in me anymore. Lord, lead me and guide me, give me the strength to live in obedience to Your commands, and love every minute of serving You, even when my flesh wants to give up. I know I can do all things through Christ, who lives in and, and through Him I can live a life that is pleasing to You, and will bring others to You as well. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina

Beloved Of Christ

KJB Daily Devotion – Following Jesus In Every Chapter
Date: Tuesday, December 22, 2015
Chapters: 1 John 4-5
Message Title: Beloved Of Christ

Hello My Friend,

Beloved, Loved; greatly loved; dear to the heart. No greater love has anyone shown than Christ, who gave His life for all mankind. Christ died for everyone from Adam to the last soul God will create, and this was not just some sacrifice to spare the life of one person, this was an ultimate sacrifice, one that would not only pardon a soul bound for hell, but give everlasting life and a relationship with God for eternity to those who believe in Him. To believe or not to believe, that is the question, but that question is literally a matter of life or death of the soul. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” - John 3:16-18.

Spirit, Wind; air in motion; hence, breath. Everyone has the breath of life in them, meaning as long as they are breathing they are alive physically, but not everyone has the Spirit of God in them. The second Adam and Eve sinned, God took His Spirit out of man, and there is only one way to get it, and that is be born again, through our faith and acceptance of His Son, Jesus Christ. What about those who were here before Christ came here in the flesh? They too had to believe. While we look to Jesus, who has been to the cross, they look to Jesus (Messiah) who was going to the cross. Not every person who says they are saved are, and in fact, they are bringing thousands of people to hell with them. As John winds down his letter to Christians who were being corrupted or turning away from God to these false gods, he warns us not to trust every person who claims Christ.

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” - 1 John 4:1-4.

because greater is he that is in you,” If you have received Christ as your Saviour, then the Spirit of God is inside of you, meaning God is in you. You were born again the second you believed that Christ died to save you from hell, and now He dwells within your soul, we know Him to be the Holy Spirit. Anyone denying the deity of God (God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit), as well as the perfect sacrifice of Christ will not be saved. The devil has power, but God's power is greater, and if Christ lives in us than we will overcome not only the devil, but death and hell as well. “No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.” - 1 John 4:12-15.

and his love is perfected in us.” Love, To regard with affection, on account of some qualities which excite pleasing sensations or desire of gratification. In short, we love whatever gives pleasure and delight to our hearts. Let me tell you, there is a difference between the love that we have upon each other and the love of Christ. Our love is conditional, meaning we have to get something out of it to give it. The love of Christ is unconditional, meaning He shows the same affection toward all of us, whether we love Him back or not. To love as Christ loves is unconditional, that does not mean we are to hang out with everyone, it means we treat everyone the same way, even if they do not deserve it. And how do love as Christ? By being obedient to God.

Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” - 1 John 5:1-4.

and his commandments are not grievous.” Everything that God requires of us and wants us to avoid is not done to keep us from living a good life, it's done to give us the best life we can possibly live without all the corruption of the world. Life is hard enough as it is without all the added problems caused by loving the things of the world. Do not get me wrong, we all want to be happy and successful in life, but there are ways to do it that are not only respectful to God, but ourselves. Do not mistake salvation as a means to live a life that goes against everything that God stands for. We can avoid many heartaches if we just listen to God in the first place.

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.” - 1 John 5:14-18.

and there is a sin not unto death.” We are beloved of God, He gave His life so we do not have to spend an eternity being tortured in the lake of fire. He wants to give us the things we need and desire, but there are some things that He will not. Why? He sees beyond what we see. He knows what giving it to us will do to us, and if we think our salvation will keep us from uncertain death by going against Him, think again. No, God will not send a soul that is saved to hell, but He will take one home that refuses to live right. Yes, we are all sinners, we all need Christ daily to keep right with God, but if we are truly saved and living a corrupt and wicked life, than He will take us home to keep us from causing more harm to us and even others. “The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” - 1 Corinthians 15:56-58.

Today's Prayer: God, With all the emotions tied with our hearts it's truly amazing that You love us unconditionally. We don't have to do anything to receive that love, You give it freely to all who come to You through Your Son. Lord, I admit that my love toward others can be conditional, and I am quick to be rude or harsh when someone treats me wrong. Give me Your power and grace to love as You love, not to be judgmental, rude, or say things that are hurtful, but to give good judgment and respect toward all. In ask these things in the name of Jesus, Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina

Knowing And Accepting Christ

KJB Daily Devotion – Following Jesus In Every Chapter
Date: Monday, December 21, 2015
Chapters: 1 John 1-3
Message Title: Knowing And Accepting Christ

Hello My Friend,

The Book of 1 John is the twenty-third book of the New Testament, sixty-second book of the Bible, and contains five chapters. The author of this epistle is John (the same John who wrote the Gospel of John as well as Revelation) and it was written to Christians who were falling into satanic deception which was breaking their fellowship with God and other believers. The purpose of this letter was to remind believers how they have eternal life, and our works of Christ are evidence that His life is in us. “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” - 1 John 5:12.

I was watching this video of some miraculous events in which lives were spared which should have been the death of them. The purpose of the video was to show that God will never take the life of a person before their time
if they are bound to be saved. That got me thinking, how many people walk away from death, but never once acknowledge God, let alone Christ. Now, God does produce miraculous things every day in an attempt to bring the lost to His Son, but very few acknowledge Him. And the ones who do know of God have no idea who Christ is. John reminds us that God is light and if we do not know His Son we are lying to ourselves.

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:” - 1 John 1:1-6.

If we say that we have fellowship with him,” Darkness, that quality or state which renders anything difficult to be understood. From the moment we are born we are born with the knowledge of God, it is the things taught and the lifestyles lived that darken people from that knowledge. God knows who believe in and accept His Son, but if we do not know the Son, we cannot know the Father. “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.” - Romans 1:10,21.

The majority of people who know of Christ, but do not receive Him are the ones who want to live an immoral life without feeling guilty about it. I had a man tell me once, I know Jesus, but have a lot of partying to do before I give it all up for Him. See, the mentality is this, If I have Christ in my life I will not enjoy my life. The truth, there is no joy in worldly living. Oh, one might think they are having fun for a little while, but get rid of the booze, drugs, lovers, money, and superficial friends, then what is left? A sad, wasted life, with nothing to show for it. The time to receive Christ is now because all we are sure of is today, we have no reassurance of tomorrow. And for those who do know Christ as their Saviour, but live a worldly life, your Father has a warning for you.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.” - 1 John 2:15-17,20,21,24,25.

But ye have an unction from the Holy One,” Unction, an act of anointing, the shedding of a divine or spiritual influence upon a person. Those who know and receive Christ are anointed from God, that means the Holy Spirit in us enables us to eliminate the corruptible things from our lives and replace them with godly things. As we walk with Christ, we become more like Him, and learn to live a life that is not only respectable to God, but our own bodies. Living a life with Christ does not mean that we cannot enjoy life, it means we enjoy the best life without all the corruption of the world dragging us down. “For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” - James 1:23-25.

While we are all sinners saved by the grace of God through Jesus Christ, we are a work in progress until the day God takes us home or Christ returns. When we walk with Him daily, He literally transforms us into His likeness, which is why many who say they are saved and live more worldly than some in the world are questioned on their salvation. We should be examples of Christ, not of the devil.

Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous. Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you. We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.” - 1 John 3:7-14.

For this purpose the Son of God was manifested,” God created the heavens and earth in six days, it did not take long for the devil to bring sin upon man, creating the sin death curse and separation between God and man. It took three days for Jesus to reverse that curse, creating eternal life and reconciliation between God and all who believe in His Son. While the devil can never produce life, he can produce deception and he's good at it too. If we say we are saved and are not different from the world than perhaps it's time to reevaluate our lives, make sure we know for sure that we have Christ in us, and if He is, repent. “Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.” - Revelation 3:2,3.

Today's Prayer: Jesus, The sacrifice You made for us is still something true believers cannot comprehend, to give Your life for us and even want to fellowship with us after all we have done is amazing. Lord, I want to walk in Your light, give me power and the strength that only You can give me to be able to life the joyful life that You would have me live as I let Your light shine through me. In Your name, Jesus'. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina

Apostasy In And Out Of The Church

KJB Daily Devotion – Following Jesus In Every Chapter
Date: Sunday, December 20, 2015
Chapters: Book of 2 Peter
Message Title: Apostasy In And Out Of The Church

Hello My Friend,

The Book of 2 Peter is the twenty-second book of the New Testament, the sixty-first book of the Bible, and contains three chapters. The author of this epistle is Peter and it was written to Christian exiles. The purpose of the letter was to warn them of the apostasy and false teaching in the Church. What we are to learn from the book is that the greatest dangers within the Church of Christ are apostasy and false teaching. “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.” - 2 Peter 2:1.

Apostasy, an abandonment of what one has professed. People every day turn away from their faith in Christ, and become something even the world shakes their head at. This is why it is so hard for those in the world to accept Christ, people who either claim they are Christians or once were are living wicked and immoral lives. The reason so many people flee Christ in the first place is because they were trusting man rather than Christ, nevertheless, we are to be the example that brings people to Him. This is what Peter addresses in his second letter, we are to be righteous examples of Christ, and reminds them that trials are to bring godliness, not recklessness.

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.” - 2 Peter 1:3-9.

For if these things be in you, and abound,” When Christ lives in and through us, He changes us, and we no longer see many of the things we use do as right, so we repent of them. That's what Christ is all about, to help us remove the things that cause problems for us. Of course, we are not saved by our works, but our works change as we walk with Christ. We need to be different than the world, we are not by any means better than them, but we are children of God, fully capable of living like Christ, and if we stop worrying about what everyone else has and seek the things of Christ than we will receive more than what we need. “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” - 1 John 1:5,14,15.

I talked to my ex-boyfriend and I swear I don't know if it was God reminding me of how blessed I am that He took me out of that relationship or the devil laughing at me because it brought all these old emotions and bitterness of the past, plus added to it. This man is supposed to have gotten saved, yet he is more corrupt and immoral now than when we dated. You know, God knows how to bring us out of situations that would cause more harm than good. He might have a struggle as we tend to think with our heart, but He never stops giving up on us, it took me ten years to break free from my ex, and I imagine the only reason for our brief conversation was to remind me of the amazing transformation God made in me, and that I never want to go back to that life again. Peter reminds us of what happens when a Christian turns away from Christ and returns to the world.

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.” - 2 Peter 2:9-12,20.

the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.” You think going back into the world and living a wicked life has no consequences, even if you renounce your faith in Christ? Think again. There is only one thing that causes apostasy, lusts of the flesh, either they were not saved to begin with or they never allowed Christ to be Lord of their lives. If God will not spare the angles that have reserved them for judgment, He will not spare anyone who falsely believes in Him for the sake of being justified for their sin.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.” - 2 Peter 3:9-13.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night;” We do not know the hour in which Christ will return, but we do know that we better be prepared. Let me make one thing clear, we are saved by grace through our faith and acceptance of the Lord, Jesus Christ. However, we are not saved from the consequences that result from living an immoral or wicked life if we do not repent. God's grace, it's an amazing thing, to be forgiven, to receive eternal life through Christ by no efforts of our own, it is truly something that no true Christian will fully understand. And while we want to believe that God will save all, the truth is, He will not. Why? Along with the devil, those who will not be saved are self willed, rebellious, proud, and arrogant people, who go against everything that Christ stands for.

Today's Prayer: Jesus, Thank You for the great sacrifice You made in giving Your life to save us, You did not have to, but you did, and all because You love us too much to see us end up in hell with the devil and all the unbelievers. Lord, I want You in my life in all that I do, walk with me, give me the strength that only You can give me, help me to live in obedience to Your Word, not because I have to, but because I want to. Put Your hedge of protection around me, keep the devil and everyone else he uses from temptation and corruption. If I am doing anything that will cause a hindrance or division between us, reveal it and help me repent of it. Through Your power, I can do all things. In Your name Jesus, I pray, Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
