Title: Bible Study: A Walking Corpse
There is nothing more powerful and life saving than blood. Think about it. You have blood running through your veins. What would you be without it? Of course, you would be lifeless and like a corpse. Now, if you ever experienced anemia you know that your blood is not functioning the way it should be and you just feel lifeless, but once you get some blood rich meat in your body you start to feel more energetic and alive. Well, the same thing applies to our soul, our soul is the center of our being, what gives us life outside of the blood that flows through us. If you have ever lost a loved one or broken up with someone, than you know what that pain that goes deep down inside of you feels like. That is what a dead soul feels like and what we are to God if we do not have Jesus in our lives. I am sorry to be so forward, but without Jesus, we are walking corpses. Christian's, Think about all the things you did in life before you knew Jesus, oh you may have had some fun and gotten all you ever wanted, but deep down something was missing and you were always looking for something bigger and better to feel good about yourself. However, with Jesus, you found what was missing and no longer are impressed with the bigger and better things because you can feel good about yourself knowing that Jesus is in your life. Why? Because it is His blood that gives life to our souls. The second we call on Jesus to forgive us and save us we get His rich blood pumped into our souls and He literally gives us life and we are no longer corpses to God, but His living children. Jesus Said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.”- John 5:24,25. Praise God!

I will say it again, there is nothing more powerful than blood. Before Jesus came, the only way that the people would be alive to God was through the blood of sacrificed of animals. And it was not just one animal, but several and they had to do this constantly in order for God to listen to them, amazingly every one of the animal sacrifices represented Christ in some way. Today we read about the red heifer sacrifice. The red heifer sacrifice was instituted and only practiced for a limited time in the wilderness of Paran at a time when all Israel was under a death sentence. “And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke: And ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, that he may bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face: And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times: And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn: And the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.” - Numbers 19:1-6. The red heifer sacrifice was instituted for the faithful who, as they go through life, sometimes fell into sin and needed to be forgiven and cleansed,in other words repent of their sins. The entire animal was burned and then its ashes were mixed with running water and sprinkled upon the defiled ones in order to restore them to the Holy God. It was not only to get a cleansing from their sin, but to get a renewal of life. Of course, this is symbolic of Jesus Christ as He cleanses us from sin and renews our life and every time we sin we can repent and be forgiven by Him. Whether it be through our thoughts, our conversations, the books we read, our associations with unbelievers, or whatever it may be that we may do that defiles our minds or bodies it is of uttermost importance that we cleanse ourselves from them. Jesus Said: “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.” - Matthew 15:8-11. As Christian's we can rejoice in the fact that we know we are saved by the blood of Christ. If you do not know by now what that means, it means that when you admit that you are a sinner and ask Jesus to forgive you and save you than you are no longer defiled by sin and are cleansed, just as the red heifer sacrifice did. You are forgiven and every sin committed over the years is erased and forgotten of by God. Praise God!

Enjoy the rest of your day/night and God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
