Message TitleWe Are Conquerors

Hello My Friend,

The life of a Christian who lets Christ be Lord is not always perfect, besides dealing with our own sin, we face all kinds of opposition and persecution because we choose Christ over the world. Not only that, we have to deal with the burdens of life, just like everyone else. What makes us so special? We have Christ in us, we may get slack for it, but no one or thing can separate us from Him, and as we draw closer to Him, the burdens will get easier, and subside too. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” - Romans 8:35-37.

There will come a time when we will not be mocked for following Christ, and in fact, people will come to us to seek Him. God speaks of a glorious time in which all of His people, from all nations, will come to Jerusalem, and many will follow to seek God.Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country; And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness. And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also. Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.” - Zechariah 8:7,8,21-23.

One way or another, everyone will come to know of Christ, Jew or Gentile, those that do not know Him personally as their Saviour, will not join Him in Jerusalem, instead they will join the devil in the lake of fire. “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” - Revelation 20:10-15.

Through every trial and test, piece by piece Christ is building our lives, as we become more faithful, stronger, and confident in God's ability we will win the battle. The hardest part about being faithful to God is having patience, we anticipate things to happen quick, however, apart from our salvation, He rarely makes things quick. Zechariah foretells the coming of Christ, he did not know when He was coming, but he had confidence that whatever God said, it would happen. “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass. And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth. And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.” - Zechariah 9:9,10,16.

These verses foretell the day that Jesus would enter Jerusalem,
and it would be the only time the Jews would call Him King, five hundred and fifty years passed before Jesus entered Jerusalem, and just as the prophecy foretold. He arrived one week before His crucifixion. “All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass. And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon. And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way. And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.” - Matthew 21:4-9.

God also foretells of the crucifixion of Christ, and time when the Jews will mourn for what they did to Hima day when all nations that rejected Jerusalem will be judged. “In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them. And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.” - Zechariah 12:8-10.

One day, Jerusalem will be restored, but it will not be until Christ returns, it will be during that time when Israel will finally see that who the Lord Jesus Christ truly is. Today, we have the anticipation of waiting on Christ
to return, until that time comes we need to be prepared because He is going to come when we least expect it. We just need to keep pressing forward in faith and not only will we be in His will be blessed for doing it. “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” - 1 John 5:13-15.

Today's Prayer: God, Help us not to resent the trials of life or be fearful of their effects. Much like we prepare for a raging storm by anchoring valuables to a firm foundation, help us to anchor our hearts in the firm foundation of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Only He can help us withstand the tribulation and trials that are certain to come our way. Even as a ship is proven to be seaworthy over its lifetime, may our faith be proven trustworthy as we hold onto You, the Anchor for our soul. In Jesus' name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
