Message TitleThe True Threat To Man

Hello My Friend,

Earlier this year there was a debate about creation versus evolution, Bill Nye did everything he could to discredit God's existence, standing by his belief that if you cannot see it it does not exist. During the debate he showed several pictures trying to prove his point, but Ken Ham was able to use those same pictures to prove that he was incorrect. There are all sorts of people out there, believers, unbelievers, skeptics, but the ones who are truly a threat to man are not the ones who simply deny the existence of God, it is the ones who do every unimaginable thing possible to try prove their point.Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.” - Romans 1:22-25.

The chief priests and scribes could not stand Jesus simply for the fact they they no longer had control over the people. From the start they plotted to have Him legally killed, but there was no possible way that could happen because He never did anything wrong. Their only option was to falsely accuse Him. Now, Jesus is awaiting His judgment, the governor wanted nothing to do with, in fact, he tried to have Him freed, but to no avail. But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas. Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified. And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified. When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it. Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.” - Matthew 27:20-25.

The sad thing about all this is that these people do not just drag themselves down, but everyone else they can with them. So many false religions take innocent lives to hell with them because they refuse to accept Jesus Christ, by the way, to deny Christ is to deny God, to deny God is death upon ourselves. It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.” - 2 Timothy 2:11-13.

They could not wait to crucify Jesus, even getting the Romans involved, while He was hanging on the cross they provoked and mocked Him, holding on to their belief that He was the hypocrite that they truly were. And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots. And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads, And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross. Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him. He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.” - Matthew 27:35,39-43.

Jesus, could have at any time come down from there, but what would that have proved, they would have still found something to discredit Him. If you think that the chief priests and scribes did not know Scripture, think again, they were just a few who ignored the Word of God, and in fact, try to change it to prove their point. They knew that Jesus would raise on the third day, and they did everything possible to keep that from happening. Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can. So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.” - Matthew 27:62-66.

Jesus was tried, died, buried, and did in fact raise from the dead on the third day, many saw Him after the resurrection, and yet they still denied Him. They even paid the soldiers to say that the disciples took Him. Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me. Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.” - Matthew 28:10-15.

The wicked unbelievers will do anything to try and discredit Jesus, and right now they may seem to have the last laugh, but there will come a day when every knee will bow to Him, and then where will they be. Our only defense is to get in the Word of God and show them that we will not give up on our God. “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” - 2 Timothy 2:15-19.

Today's Prayer: God, I understand that not by my works of righteousness I am saved, but by my believing in what Your Son did for me and receiving Him as my Savior I am saved. I am trusting only in You Jesus to keep me out of hell and I know that no matter what I have done or will do I am forgiven and that You will never leave nor forsake me. To show my appreciation and love for You I want to live my life with You in it. Lead me and guide me in Your will and Your way, help me to be a witness and a testimony to the amazing life that I now live. I love You, Lord and pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
