Message TitleLive Life More Abundantly

Hello My Friend,

When I was a teen, my family and I used to love going to the park, we would pack up a wagon full of drinks and sandwiches, and begin our journey, which actually took about an hour and a half just to get there, but we did not mind because we knew what we had to look forward to. One day we came home to find our house had been robbed, I will never forget the fear we had, my mom nailed all the windows so they could only open just enough for some air, we did not even want to go to the park anymore for fear that it would happen again. The robbers robbed us of more than possessions, they robbed us of our joy. When we accept the Lord, Jesus Christ as our Saviour, we find joy like we have never known, sometimes it is a journey to get there, but something to look forward to. There are thieves larking, about eager to take our joy away from us, and they will use everything from false religion to plain old bullying to do it, but Jesus is our Shepherd, and as long as we remain close to Him, we will find joy, even when we are tried. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” - John 10:10.

Jesus is in Jerusalem, by now, many of the Jews were believing in Him, but many also rejected Him, not because they really did not believe who He is, but that they knew He really is the Christ. He is confronted by a group of them, asking the same questions as they always have been. “
Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.” - John 10:24-31.

Jesus has never been one to give glory to Himself, in fact, everything He did He gave glory to God for. However, Jesus was about to do something to prove that He and God were one in the same, something that would give He would be glorified through God.
Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.) Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick. When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby. Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus. When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.” - John 11:1-6.

Jesus arrives four days after Lazarus had died. “
Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him! And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died? Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it. Jesus said, Take ye away the stone.Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days. Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?” - John 11:32-40.

Jesus groaned and was troubled, it pains Him to see that no matter how many miracles He does, many still will not believe in Him. Disbelief does not stop Jesus from doing what He always does, but it does rob us from seeing Him doing it. Jesus is the resurrection, the one who gives life to a dead soul, there are three parts to a body; flesh, soul, and spirit (life), while we may have life in us, it's not God's Spirit, it's what keeps us alive physically. The only chance we have to having a living soul is Jesus Christ, His death, burial, and resurrection gives life to every soul who believes in Him. We must believe in Christ if we want life to our soul, and those who refuse to accept Him will die and end up in hell, no ifs, ands or buts about it. “
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.” - 1Thessalonians 4:13,14.

Jesus brought Lazarus from the dead, proving that He does have the power to give life to every living soul, no one else has that power. Instead of all believing and accepting Him, some were, in fact, threatened by the miracle they saw, so threatened that they gathered together to see how they could stop Him. “
Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles. If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation. And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all, Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not. And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad. Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death.” - John 11:47-53.

Many who reject, and down right want to destroy Jesus do not do so because they do not believe in who He is, they do it for the same reason they reject God all together. People want control, not over their own lives, but of desperate people who follow and worship them because they seek joy in their lives. As long as everyone sides with them and does not oppose them they are happy, but the second someone speaks up and challenges them on what they are doing, they want to destroy them. Still today, the devil does everything he possibly can to destroy Jesus, including those who are faithful to Him, and he is the one who steals our joy. It's time to put the devil in his place, and take his joy away from him, the only way we can do that is by not giving up, and fighting for what we believe in. Jesus is with is, and wants us to live a more abundant life, it's time we put the devil in his place, and take our joy back.
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” - Ephesians 6:11-13.

Today's PrayerJesus, No matter how I feel on the outside I know You are with me, not because of any good that I do, but because I believe in and trust in what You have done for me. Lord, sometimes it's hard to see You when I have so many people and things trying to rob me og my joy, but as long as I abide with You I know I can see YouLord, lead me and guide me, give me Your power to withstand every obstacle and to trust You with all of my life, let me not let anyone rob me of the joy that You bring to me as I walk with You. In Your name Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
