Details of Today's Chapters: A great wonder in heaven, a war in heaven, Michael defeats the dragon who is known as Satan, the weapons used to defeat Satan, and the mark of the beast.

Hello My Friend/Guest,
Perhaps the most powerful effect Satan has is upon the Church, Christ's Church, also known as the New Testament church. Think about it, Christ is the head of the Church, as Christians we are to all live by one authority, God, through the New Testament of the Bible, that is, we are to follow the doctrine of the Gospel, the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is God's only begotten Son, born of a virgin and is God and His Word made flesh. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” - John 1:1,14. Unfortunately, not everyone lives by this authority, therefore several denominations are a result. Who is the authority of all these separate denominations? Satan. If he is going to start a war, he is going to begin with the Church and he is succeeding at this moment.

Jesus shows John how the church got separated from Him, “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.” - Revelation 12:1-5.

The woman represents the Church, she is the bride of Christ, we are guided by the light, who is Christ. The child represents the birth and ascension of Christ, the wilderness represents the desert like moral condition of the world that is ruled by Satan and how he separates the bride from the groom. Satan has been given four designations, the dragon which portrays his monstrous character, the serpent which points out his deceptiveness, the devil who reminds us that he is a slanderer and liar, and Satan which means adversary. This separation caused a war in heaven and Satan to be cast down to earth. “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” - Revelation 12:9-11.

Satan is determined to try and destroy everything that Christ stands for, but in the end the King of kings, Lord of lords is the one who will prevail. Christ prevailed when He died on the cross and arose three days later, those who ask Jesus to save them are a part of the church of Christ. Praise God!

Satan knows his fate and because he knows his fate he is going to try everything to prolong his life and take as many people with him as possible. He is going to deceive many by passing himself off as Jesus. “And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.” - Revelation 13:11-15.

Went we get saved, we are reunited with our Savior Jesus Christ and become apart of His Church. Since Satan is out to deceive us, even those who walk with Christ already are not exempt, it is more important than ever to hold on tight to Christ, get in His Word, learn of Him so you can know the truth, get into a church that follows the authority of the New Testament, there is only one thing that can protect us and that is the whole armor of God. “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:” - Ephesians 6:13-17.

Be blessed, enjoy the rest of your day/night and have a great week.
God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
