Hello My Friend/Guest,

“There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink... Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?.. Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.” - John 4:7,10,11,13-15.

The human body consists of 60% water, the brain is composed of 70% water, the lungs are nearly 90% water. Lean muscle tissue contains about 75%, body fat contains 10% water and bone has 22% water. About 83% of our blood is water, which helps digest our food, transport waste, and control body temperature. While an adult can survive 4-6 weeks without food, they will not last 3 days without water, needless to say water consumption is vital for our bodies to survive. Likewise, water consumption for our soul is vital as well for it to survive, no ordinary water can quench a thirsty soul, only by drinking the living water that comes through Jesus Christ can quench that thirst.

Job was a righteous and upright man, God Himself confirmed that, however, he was now facing all kinds of affliction, it was as if he were being punished for sins he committed although he did not do anything. On top of it he had three friends, convinced that he was a liar and a hypocrite, lecture him about repenting. The amazing thing is that the more they afflicted him the more he realized that God had a reason for what He was doing and knew that He would be justified for his faithfulness.

“Lo, mine eye hath seen all this, mine ear hath heard and understood it. What ye know, the same do I know also: I am not inferior unto you. Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God. But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value...Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him. Hear diligently my speech, and my declaration with your ears. Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified.” - Job 13:1-4,15-18.

Did you ever go to a doctor and go through all kinds of painful and uncomfortable tests only to find out that they were not necessary? God's tests are the opposite, they are necessary, we may not understand at the time, but one day we will. God will allow Satan to continuously test our faith in God, remember, he can not take away our salvation, but he can do a good job at making us think he can. It is our strength through Jesus Christ that gives us the hope that all this will come to pass as we put our trust in Him. “As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God? It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.” - Psalm 18:30-32.

Those who believe in and trust in Jesus Christ may rejoice in all circumstances in the comfort that there is a life beyond, even the grave through our Lord Jesus Christ. Although Job's life on earth was well before Jesus came here and he had no Bible to read, he too had hope in the resurrection.

“For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant. But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he? As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up: So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep. O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me! If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.” - Job 14:7-14.

Though a tree is cut down, yet, when water is applied to the root, shoots come forth, and grow up as a newly planted tree. Likewise, if the root never gets water, it is dead, there is no hope that any life will come of it. When the flesh dies it is forever removed from it's place in this world, his body returns to the dust it was created of by God, but his soul goes to one of two places, heaven or hell. If the soul has been watered by Christ it will end up to heaven until Jesus returns, if it has never been watered it will end up in hell.

“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” - Revelation 20:12-14. Only those who have received Christ's living water will be saved from the second death.

Jesus gives His water freely to all who ask for it, you do not have to face your burdens alone, Jesus is there for you. One day you will no longer have to suffer, until then He will give you strength, comfort, and peace while these things come to pass. Just trust in Jesus and He will quench that thirst. “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. ” - Revelation 21:4-8.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
