Message: Genesis: God Will Supply

Hello My Friend,

Socialism, A way of organizing a society in which major industries are owned and controlled by the government rather than by individual people and companies. If you were not aware, our nations are one by one being bought and sold to our governments. I remember growing up into poverty, my mother did the only thing she could do to take care, she went on welfare. I swear the things we went through just to get help were so ridiculous I swore I would work three jobs before I ask anything from the government again. Now, I am not judging those who help, but I am telling you that you need to be careful cause the more they give you the more of your life they take. If we put our faith and trust in God He will provide for us more than what the government ever can. “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 4:19.

Socialism does not just happen overnight, it is well planned, it can take years for their plan to take action. The Bible is a great resource for learning just how important it is that we seek help from God and let Him guide us rather than put our trust in the government. Today, we learn how socialism starts, for seventeen years Jacob thought his son was dead, you could imagine the surprise when his sons reveal to him that he is still alive. Now, a hundred and thirty years old, Jacob brought his entire family, sixty-six men, women, and children into Egypt.

And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac. And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I. And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation: I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes. And Jacob rose up from Beersheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him. And they took their cattle, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, Jacob, and all his seed with him: And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.” - Genesis 46:1-6,29.

and I will also surely bring thee up again:” Our time here on earth is not permanent, it's only temporary, God has brought us here to help increase His nation (kingdom), and when He has finished His purpose for us He will bring where us home. Praise God! “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” - 2 Corinthians 4:17,18.

Now, the famine is hitting hard, both the Egyptians and Israelites soon found out that money and possessions could not do anything for them. However, They literally sold themselves to Pharaoh just to get food, including the Egyptians.

And when money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in thy presence? for the money faileth. And Joseph said, Give your cattle; and I will give you for your cattle, if money fail. And they brought their cattle unto Joseph: and Joseph gave them bread in exchange for horses, and for the flocks, and for the cattle of the herds, and for the asses: and he fed them with bread for all their cattle for that year. When that year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide it from my lord, how that our money is spent; my lord also hath our herds of cattle; there is not ought left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands: Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate. And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh's.” - Genesis 47:15-20.

buy us and our land for bread,” It was during this time that all of the people lost their entire freedom because they were afraid. Did you ever hear the commercial on the radio about buying gold or silver because it never loses value? As if gold or silver can save you during a famine? People who live in the world have the mentality that money and possessions can save them, but fail to realize it is worthless. Things cannot bring water when there is none to take from the lakes, it cannot bring food when there is no water to make things grow, it cannot keep us from dying, and it certainly cannot keep us from hell. When we put our faith and trust in God, and let Him guide us He will provide. God always provides a way when there is no way! “But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.” - Luke 12:5-7.

God did keep His promise to Jacob, in only seventeen years, the Israelites did multiply, in fact, there were so many that they outnumbered the Egyptians. Jacob lived seventeen years after he arrived in Egypt, far beyond his own expectations, he was nearing the end of his life when he blessed Joseph and his sons. In blessing them, Jacob gives the bigger blessing to Manasseh, his younger son.

And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father's hand, to remove it from Ephraim's head unto Manasseh's head. And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head. And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations. And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh. And Israel said unto Joseph, Behold, I die: but God shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers. Moreover I have given to thee one portion above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.” - Genesis 48:17-22.

but God shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers.” Isn't it amazing that in the midst of our own famines God us with us. Amazingly, God will always take care of His children, even when it seems like He is not there. He is always, always with us and preparing the way for future generations through us, but many will fall captive to the world because they did not put their faith in Him. Sometimes, famines do happen, we lose things we were so sure of, but that is where faith comes. When we have done everything in our own ability, that is when God will show His ability. “Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.” - Psalm 37:3-5,7,23,24.

Today's Prayer: God, You have placed us on a journey of faith where we learn to trust You for all that we have need of. I'm so glad I learned to trust You with my life, now, help me learn to trust You in every area of my life until You bring me home. Through all the circumstances I face, even when things look hopeless, I know You are there and will always take care of me. In Jesus' name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
