Message: An
Unwavering God
Hello My Friend,
Waver, to move
one way and the other. You know, quite often, our faith in God
wavers, in the same day we can have complete faith in Him and wonder
why He has left us. You want to know something amazing? God’s faith
in us never wavers, no matter how often we cry or complain that God
is not with us, He loves us the same, and is always faithful to keep
His promises to us. The second we received His Son as our Saviour He
made a covenant with us, to never leave nor forsake us, no matter how
much we waver. You see, there is something incredible about God that
we as humans can never understand, once we are saved God no longer
looks as us through ourselves, but through His Son. That means, no
matter what we do in the flesh, our soul is tucked safe in the arms
of Jesus, and that is unwavering.
“We
know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is
begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him
not.” - I John 5:18.
“born
of God sinneth not;” This does not mean that we never sin
again after we are saved, it does mean that when God looks at us He
sees His Son, therefore we appear to Him as though we never sin.
Salvation does not keep us from the consequences of sin after we are
saved, but it does keep our soul from the consequences of our sin.
When you stop to think about just how unwavering God is you cannot
help, but find yourself praising Him for the things He as, in fact,
got you out of. While we can often be wavering in our faithfulness,
God never is, and we ought to be praising Him every day for that.
David reminds us that God is rich in mercy, but it is wise to walk in
His ways.
“Among the
gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any
works like unto thy works. All nations whom thou hast made shall come
and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name. For thou
art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone. Teach me
thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy
name. I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I
will glorify thy name for evermore. For great is thy mercy toward me:
and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell. O God, the
proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have
sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them. But thou, O
Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and
plenteous in mercy and truth.” - Psalm
86:8-15.
“Among the gods there
is none like unto thee,” gods, we know that there is only
one true and living Supreme being, and we know Him to be Jehovah.
While many times “god” refers to false gods, this is different,
this form of god is referring to, a prince; a ruler; a magistrate
(king), or a judge. David is comparing those of the highest authority
to God and has found that none even come close to God Almighty. Great
is God’s mercy toward us that He has, through His Son, delivered
our soul from the lowest hell. Praise God!
“Let
every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power
but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever
therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and
they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.”
- Romans 13:1,2.
While our salvation is great in
itself, we have something else awaiting us, a city of God, something
that will only appear after Christ returns and he establishes His
kingdom. Even the people of old knew this was awaiting them, the
place is called Zion, and the psalmist reminds us that none are
forgotten who know Him as their Saviour.
“Glorious
things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah. I will make mention
of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and
Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there. And of Zion it shall be
said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself
shall establish her. The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the
people, that this man was born there. Selah.” - Psalm
87:3-6.
“And of Zion it shall
be said,” Zion is the place in which Jesus will rule on His
throne, what an amazing place that will be. Until Christ returns we
have to endure the life we are given here, and unless He returns real
soon, spend some time in heaven. The great thing is that God never
wavers His protection on a saved soul, while we await His kingdom we
have His protection, whether we leave our bodies and go to heaven or
get raptured out of here, with body intact.
“For
God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our
Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep,
we should live together with him.” - I Thessalonians
5:9,10.
God is unwavering in that he had a plan for us
to be saved from the very start, He knew that sin would come into the
world through one of His very own creations, Lucifer himself, He knew
that our flesh would be wavering, and yet He never changed His plan.
Psalm 89 is an amazing Psalm, as the psalmist reflects on God promise
to David’s seed, an amazing prophecy is revealed of His own Son.
“Also I will make him
my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. My mercy will I
keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the
days of heaven. If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my
judgments; If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their
iniquity with stripes. Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not
utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail. My
covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my
lips.” - Psalm 89:27-34.
“His
seed also will I make to endure for ever,” While this Psalm
has references about Solomon, it is clear that God is talking about
another seed that would come through David, His Son, the anointed one
(89:20). The second we receive Christ as our Saviour we are born into
the family of God, therefore, we not only become heirs with Christ,
we become part of David’s seed, and will endure forever. There is
something amazing written here, “Nevertheless
my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him,” God
reminds us that even though we may be chastised for sin, He will
never take our salvation away from us. I can write an entire message
on this chapter alone about the mercy and grace of God, how He loves
us and remains faithful to us no matter how many times we mess up.
God’s unwavering love keeps our soul out of hell, in fact, it is
Jesus who took the rod and stripes that we rightfully should be
getting.
“For even
hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving
us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin,
neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled,
reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed
himself to him that judgeth righteously: Who his own self bare our
sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should
live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”
- I Peter 2:21-24.
Jesus
Christ Magnified:
Today, Jesus is shown through the Holy One of Israel who is our King
(89:18). Christ means, the anointed, God sent Him here through the
seed of David, making Him not only royalty of man, but of God also.
Jew or Gentile, all who believe in Him become part of the seed, and
of Israel. “And if ye be Christ's, then
are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
- Galatians 3:29.
Today's Prayer:
God, Thank You for Your unwavering love, promises, protection,
commitment, faithfulness, and faith in Your children, while our faith
can go to and fro, Yours never changes. You never promised that we
will not face and problems or suffering while we are here on earth,
but You do promise that You will never leave nor forsake us, even
when we are wavering. How amazing are you to not only love us
unconditionally when we receive Your Son, but when we waver in our
faith as well. Lord, lead me and guide me, fill me with Your mercy
and grace, strengthen my heart and give me unwavering faith, let me
not be dependent upon my circumstances to keep me faithful, but on
Your precious promises. I ask this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
God
Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina

God Is Listening And Does Answer

Message: God Is Listening And Does Answer
Hello My Friend,
There is nothing more exciting than seeing God answer a prayer, big or small, you realized that God heard you and gave you exactly what you have been asking. I always think of God answering prayer like a traffic light; red, stop asking for that, yellow, slow down and wait, green, go, it is all yours. Sometimes we can ask, and ask, and ask God for something and seem like He does not hear or answer, it is like trying to reach someone on the phone, but they are not answering the call. Well, God does answer the call, He may not always speak to us on the other end, but He is listening, after He is done listening to everything we have to say, then He will speak. “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” - Jeremiah 33:3.
“Call unto me,” There are several ways we can call out to God in prayer, praise, thanks, confession, supplication, but the keys to Him hearing us is one, making sure we are saved, and two, that we serve only Him. Thousands of people pray to who they think is God, but it is not Him, unless they know Jesus Christ personally as their Saviour, they do not know God. To those who are praying that do not know Christ, get rid of the strange god and turn to the only living God. “Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me; There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god. I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me. So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels. Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways! I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.” - Psalm 81:8-14.
“open thy mouth wide,” the only way we can get God to do anything for Him is to ask Him for it. Want salvation? Ask. Want a job? Ask. Want healing? Ask. Want forgiveness? Ask. Want freedom? Ask. God always answers our prayers, they may not be the outcome we expect, but He hears and He answers every prayer. Sometimes He tells us no. Why? It could be several reasons, what we see with our eyes right now, God sees before us and knows exactly what will happen if He gave it to us. Keep in mind that when someone dies it is not God saying no to healing that person, He just decided their healing was by taking them home to Him. Our human minds cannot comprehend God’s reasoning behind illness and death, but we can learn, grow, and find amazing blessings out of the worse circumstances when we take it all to God. “And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” - Luke 11:9,10.
“and he that seeketh findeth;” Quite often the reason we are not getting what we are asking is because we do not know what we are seeking. Okay, we have fickled minds, one minute we want something the next another. You see, more often than we realize we change the requests according to what we are going through. Think about it, you have a bill due in a week, and instead of trusting God to provide the money His way, you sell something precious. That is not trusting God, but taking things into our own hands, and when we take things into our own hands that is when affliction comes. God uses affliction to get us back to praying by faith, and relying solely upon Him to give us the things we need, and it also is used to bring people to Him.
“A Song or Psalm of Asaph. Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm. Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD. Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish: That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.” - Psalm 83:1-4,15-18.
“that they may seek thy name,” Do you realize that the majority of the time God waits to give us things because He is waiting on other people? How many people pray to God unless there is some kind of trouble? That is most of the world. The truth is, we all have a problem keeping up with prayer when we have everything we want, so God gets our attention by affliction. This is not God being cruel, it is Him trying to get us to rely solely upon Him, and seeking only Him for the things we need. “Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.” - James 4:3.
Many times when we pray to God He is speaking to us, the problem is that we are the ones not listening. To hear God we must open our ears, heart, mind, eyes, and spirit. Only when we give God our all can we hear Him speaking. Cry out to God, and He will hear you and speak. “My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God. Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God. Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah. Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed. For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.” - Psalm 84:2-4,9-12.
“my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.” There is something comforting and uplifting when we cry out to God, and to be honest, He speaks to us more than we think, it is only when we cry out to Him that we can hear Him. More often than we want to admit, our praying can get repetitious, meaning have no meaning or lack of faith. When we give our heart and flesh completely to Him and cry out to Him, that is when we can hear Him. “I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly. Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land. Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven. Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase. Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.” - Psalm 85:8-13.
“but let them not turn again to folly.” Okay, there are times when God will close His ears to a person because they have sin in their lives. While He is merciful and forgiving to all who cry out to Him, many of His people only come to Him when they are in trouble, and as soon and He fixes the problem, they are right back at it again. We can thank God for His endless grace because He never leaves nor forsakes us no matter how many times we mess up. But if it seems like God is not hearing us, it might me wise to take a look at what we are doing to see if we have some sin that has not been resolved. When we confess our sins, and turn away from them, He will listen and answer us. “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” - James 4:8-10.
Jesus Christ Magnified: Today Jesus is revealed through the King, and God who is our salvation. Jesus is the only one we can call on to be saved. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” - Romans 10:13.
Today's Prayer: God, You promise to hear and answer all our prayers, but You did not promise they would be in the way we expect. Thank You for Your mercy, grace, and unwavering love for us, no matter how impatient we get, how much we try to answer our prayers for you, or how much our faith in you subsides when we do not hear you, you are always faithful, and willing to give us above what we ask or think. Lord, I ask You for one thing today, and that is to help mine unbelief, I know who You are and what You can do for me, it is my hidden unbelief that hinders me. I love You Lord, and pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina

Message: Grab Onto Jesus
Hello My Friend,
Of all the people we will encounter in our lifetime, no one will impact it more than Jesus Christ. It is amazing how someone we have never seen can do such great things in the lives of those who but their faith and trust in Him. Life can get messy, but if we grab onto Jesus, He will not only clean us up, He will make us shiny and new. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” - II Corinthians 5:17.
“he is a new creature:” Getting saved is one thing, but walking with Christ after we are saved is another. When we get saved, we are just like a shiny new penny, that has been run through the mud. Walking with Christ polishes us and shines us up. Keep in mind that walking with Christ can get more mud thrown at us by those who are not too happy that we have chosen Him, but as long as we grab onto Him He will pull us through. David wrote Psalm 69 because he felt he was stuck in a pit and could not get out. “They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards. But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation. Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters. Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me. Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies. And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily.” - Psalm 69:12-17.
“and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.” My goodness, these words ring so true to me, they remind me of the time I went through, just before I truly understood Christ, my whole life was a mess and I was sinking fast. I sat in my car one day wondering why I even bothered helping my ex-boyfriend, whom I was trying to get out of prison, as he was ungrateful nor had any remorse for what he did. That was when the thought of God came across my mind for the first time in years, and a little later I grabbed onto Jesus. You know, sometimes we can get caught up in a mess and start sinking fast, but Jesus never lets us get swallowed up, He will pull us out. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in things right now that I lose sight of how much Jesus has done for me since that dreadful time in my life. You know, Jesus is not a magic wand to wave that removes every bit of dirt from our lives all at once, He is the one who cleans us up bit by bit. “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” - I John 1:7.
The world likes to make you think that you can live anyway you want as long as you are saved and you will not face any consequences for your actions. The world is wrong, there are always consequences for the things we do, saved or not. Jesus promises to never leave nor forsake us and give us eternal life if we believe in and accept Him, but He never promised that we would not have to endure some suffering while we remain here. Do not confuse redemption for judgment, we do not do good to keep our salvation, that was bought and paid for by Christ, we do good to remember what Christ did for us. We must realize that Jesus never lets us go, He holds on to us for eternity, Psalm 71 reminds us that we can do all things through Christ who is our strength.
“In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion. Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me. Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress. Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man. For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth. I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only. O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.” - Psalm 71:1-5,16,17.
“thou art my trust from my youth.” It does not matter what age you are when you receive Christ, we must come to Him as a child, one who is born again, spiritually renewed and adopted; as a child of God. When we trust God He puts an end to all confusion, delivers us out of the hand of the wicked and cruel, and gives us new hope. “thou hast given commandment to save me;” God commands all to be saved, but not everyone follows that command, but when Jesus promised to give us eternal life by accepting Him, He meant it, and nothing can change that. “And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them. But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.” - Luke 18:15-17.
David wrote Psalm 72 specifically for Solomon as he was about to take over the kingdom, but as you read it you will discover that this is God speaking to all of His children about His Son who will reign over the entire earth. “He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth. In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth. He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth. They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust. His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed. Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things. And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.” - Psalm 72:6-9,17-19.
“He shall have dominion also from sea to sea,” When Christ returns, all the earth will be His, every knee will bow, and every person will stand before Him, the only ones who get to join Him in His kingdom are those who received Him as their Saviour. “And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:” - Matthew 25:32-34.
Asaph was one of the leaders of David's choir, he wrote quite a few psalms himself, he has issues dealing with people who do not believe in God and wonders what most Christians do, “Why am I struggling and not those who have no interest in God?” “A Psalm of Asaph. Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart. But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction. How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee. But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.” - Psalm 73:1-3,16-19,26-28.
“it was too painful for me;” Trying to understand why the wicked or those who do not walk with Jesus as they ought to prosper while we struggle is way to painful. I will admit that there have been times in my life that I have cried myself to sleep because all I wanted was for God to bless me as those who care less about Him get blessed. Then God pointed something out to me, they may appear to be blessed, but they are struggling more than I ever will. When I chose to follow Christ, not just get saved, but allow Him to live in me, my life changed, and although I still have some struggles I have an expected end for mine. That cannot be said for those who do as they please with no regard to God, and they do suffer, they will just not tell you that. It is not wrong to tell God how you feel and let Him know He can do for you what He did for someone else, it is wrong to compare yourself with others because your blessings are different from theirs. “For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.” - Matthew 16:27,28.
Jesus Christ Magnified: Today, Jesus is shown through the pain He endured on the cross when He was given gall and vinegar (69:21). Jesus endured much pain and suffering so we can be clean to stand before God. “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.” - John 15:3.
Today's Prayer: God, Confusion comes when I stop holding onto You and hold on the problems in my life, forgetting that Your hand is in all the mess. Thank You for reminding me that You are my strength, and that You renew it when I allow You to use my problems for something good. Lord, lead me and guide me, let me never lose Your grip on me, clean me and shine me the way You see fit, give me Your wisdom to keep me from being confused, give me the patience to wait, and give Your strength to endure the mess. In Jesus' name, Amen.
