Hello My Friend/Guest,
One of the amazing things about God is that He always provides for His children. The word provision means, the providing or supplying of food or other necessities. Necessities are something that is absolutely necessary. God always provides us with the necessities, even if we are not always so faithful to Him, but those we are faithful He will even give the desires of their heart. The Bible says, “Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass...Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.” - Psalm 37:3-5,7,23,24. The key to getting the desires of our heart is to wait patiently for God, and that is where most of us fall, I have. Many of us are quick to sell ourselves out because we are looking at our circumstances rather than what God sees beyond them. Instead of worrying about tomorrow it is time take one step at a time with God leading the way.

After fifteen years of thinking that his son was dead, Jacob found out that he was not only alive, but was also a governor in Egypt. Although Canaan was the land that God promised the Israelites the famine hit so hard that the only place to get food was Egypt, thanks to Joseph, who prepared for it. In a dream God told Jacob to go to Egypt and he would be with him there.

“And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac. And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I. And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation: I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes. And Jacob rose up from Beersheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.” - Genesis 46:1-5.

God never leaves His children, he may send us away from home for a time, but He is always with us where ever we go. All of His children meaning those whom have accepted His Son, Jesus Christ as their Savior. When you accept Christ into your life you become adopted into His family making you an heir with God and one of His children.“God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” - Galatians 4:4-7.

Sixty-six people traveled from Canaan to Egypt, Jacob was about to see his son for the first time in twenty-two years. None knew what the future would, but they knew that God was with them.

“Then Joseph came and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethren, and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, are come out of the land of Canaan; and, behold, they are in the land of Goshen...And Pharaoh spake unto Joseph, saying, Thy father and thy brethren are come unto thee: The land of Egypt is before thee; in the best of the land make thy father and brethren to dwell; in the land of Goshen let them dwell: and if thou knowest any men of activity among them, then make them rulers over my cattle. And Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and set him before Pharaoh: and Jacob blessed Pharaoh...And Joseph placed his father and his brethren, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.” - Genesis 47:1,5-7,11.

Even in a strange land God will provide His children with the best there is to offer. Don't think it's the best you have? Think about where you were before you chose to live your life with Christ in it? Money and possessions are nothing without God. I've been there, I had everything, and lost everything I had because I got away from God. Today, I have no steady job, barely make $100 a week, but live in the nicest house I have ever lived in, always have good food to eat, have a closet full of clothes, and the bills are always paid. God will provide the best for His children, when we are faithful to Him. “O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.” - Psalm 31:23,24.

The Egyptians and Israelites soon found out that their money and possessions could not do anything for them during the famine, they sold everything they had to Pharaoh to get food. “And there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very sore, so that the land of Egypt and all the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine. And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corn which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh's house. And when money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in thy presence? for the money faileth...When that year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide it from my lord, how that our money is spent; my lord also hath our herds of cattle; there is not ought left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands: Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate. And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh's.” - Genesis 47:13-15,18-20.

It was during this time that they lost their freedom, instead of seeking God for help they went to Joseph and sold all their land and everything they possessed, even themselves, to Pharaoh and now they have become slaves, in a sense they sold their souls to the devil, because they were afraid they sold themselves out. People who live in the world have the mentality that money can keep them from dying, from famine, or even from hell, but they fail to realize that money is worthless. Money can not bring water when there is none to take from the lakes, it can not bring food when there is no water to make things grow, it can not keep us from dying, and it certainly can not keep us from hell. There is only one person that keep us from hell and that is Jesus Christ. “For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth...That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation...For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” - Romans 10:4,9,10,13.

Are you having some troubles and looking for any way to get out of them? Don't self yourself out. Put your trust in God. If you have gotten away from Him, tell Him you are sorry, He knows you are and is right there waiting to help you. He doesn't leave you, He just takes a step back to let your realize that you need Him. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” - I John 1:9.

Jesus Christ Revealed: Jesus is revealed through Joseph, who was placed second only to Pharaoh to preserve life. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” - John 3:16.

Thanks and God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
