One
People Under God
Hello
My Friend,
There is not a day that goes by that we do not
hear of some terror attack around the world. In fact, just this year
there were 1055 Islamic terror attacks in 47 countries,
including Israel, Paris, America, and Egypt. So far, 9989 people were
killed and 12031 injured. Our leaders want us to think
that all these horrible things are just some deranged people acting
out, but it is much bigger than that, this is an attack on God’s
people. And let me tell you, nations have turned their backs on God
and as long as they continue, the attacks will continue. “And
when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea,
when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of
blood. Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings
from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; Learn to do well; seek
judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the
widow. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though
your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they
be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and
obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:”
- Isaiah 1:15-19.
“put
away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes;”
I
know this is a hard thing to talk about because hearts are grieving,
but
we cannot ignore it. Until
we come in unity, and put away the evil, God cannot protect us. The
more people that stand up for what is right, the more our nations
will be protected. Like, Israel was judged for allowing evil in their
nation, we are being judged as a nation, but this is not the time to
hate God, it is a time to embrace Him.
“We
have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy
temple. According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends
of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness. Let mount Zion
rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy
judgments. Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers
thereof. Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may
tell it to the generation following. For this God is our God for ever
and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.”
- Psalms 48:9-14.
“that
ye may tell it to the generation following.”
If you ever wondered why our nations
have
turned into such
godless
nations
it
is because generations have not been telling
of the one true God.
In a land that allows us to choose which religion we follow we have
gotten away from why it
was
founded to begin with, to worship God His way, not mans. Bulwark,
A fortress, That which secures against an enemy or external
annoyance. God protects every nation that worships Him according to
His Word, and as long as they do, they
cannot
be
attacked.
Sadly, Christians have fallen on the wayside, not necessarily living
sinful lives, but failing to tell the next generation about Jesus. We
have allowed sinful behavior to not only be exalted in the world, but
creep in the church, and as a result lost the protection that God had
around us,
but there is always hope until Jesus returns. “If
that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I
will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them. And at what
instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom,
to build and to plant it; If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not
my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would
benefit them.”
- Jeremiah 18:8-10.
This
is not about a religion, a lifestyle, or a race, this is a life, and
Jesus died to save every life. Yet,
every day hundreds of people die, and sadly their soul ends up in
hell because they never knew Jesus. Psalm
49 was written to all people. “To
the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah.
Hear this, all ye people; give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world:
Both low and high, rich and poor, together. They that trust in their
wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches; None
of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom
for him: (For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it
ceaseth for ever:) That he should still live for ever, and not see
corruption. Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed
on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the
morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their
dwelling. But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave:
for he shall receive me. Selah.”
- Psalms 49:1,2,6-9,14,15.
“But
God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave:”
Jesus is the only one who can redeem our soul, the one to give us
power from the grave. In this wicked and corrupt world our lives are
in danger everywhere we go, but we can be protected, we can know that
if something tragic should happen to our body, our soul will be safe
with Jesus. “He
that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath
not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the
name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life,
and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”
- I
John
5:12,13.
Right now there are a bunch of people out there
placing judgment on people fopr their lifestyles because of these
tragic events. We must understand that God’s judgment upon a nation
is not the same as what He does with each individual. The last thing
we need to do is go around screaming that if you do not repent of
your lifestyle you will go to hell. God does not work that way, these
people do not know what they are doing is wrong, they need to know
that God loves them, and wants to help them. Everyone of us is with
sin, therefore, we are to judge no one for theirs. Use this time to
point the lost to the Saviour, not point out their sin. Psalm 51 was
written by David after he sinned by committing adultery, he realizes
what God really wanted from him.
“Behold,
I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden
part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop, and I
shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. O Lord,
open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise. For thou
desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in
burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken
and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. Do good in thy
good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem. Then
shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with
burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer
bullocks upon thine altar.”
- Psalms 51:5-7,16-18.
“and
in sin did my mother conceive me.”
This does not mean that David was conceived out of wedlock, it is
referring to the sin nature that all of us are born into from Adam
and Eve. By nature we are prone to sin, it is just something that
comes naturally to us. Ever watch a baby? You learn quick without
even realizing we are all born into sin. This is why Mary was
conceived of the Holy Spirit, not through normal conception, had
Jesus been conceived as the rest of us, He too would have been born
into sin. Jesus was able to be born without sin, and live without sin
so He can take all of our sins to the cross with Him, praise Jesus.
What does God desire more than a sacrifice, than an offering? “a
broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart,”
It often takes a broken spirit and a broken and bruised heart for us
to seek God, and when we seek God we find Jesus. Rich, poor, black,
white, we all have sinned, and God does not want anyone to die and
end up in hell. Jesus died for all, and will save all who come to
Him. It is after we are saved and learn of God’s ways that we
understand and turn away from our sins. “For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world;
but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on
him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already,
because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of
God.”
- John 3:16-18.
Jesus
Christ Revealed:
Today, Jesus is revealed as the one who redeems from the power of the
grave. He gives eternal life to every soul who believes in and
receives Him. “Being
justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in
Christ Jesus:”
- Romans 3:24.
Today's
Prayer:
God,
It is time for all Christians to come together as one to put Your
hedge of protection around our nations. Let us boldly proclaim
Christ, not with harsh words, but with love and compassion on the
lost. Let us use these times of grieving to show the world what Jesus
has done for them, and let us be reminded of how merciful and
graceful You are to all of us. Lord, lead us and guide us, let us be
the light in the midst of this dark world, no matter what nation we
live in, let us all stand in unity to give hope to all those who are
hurt and grieving right now. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God
Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
