Details of Today's Chapters: Bildad's continues reproving Job, Job’s answer to Bildad, his faith in God, and the value of divine wisdom.

Hello My Friend/Guest,

“Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.” - James 3:13-17.

The word wise is defined as having the power of discerning and judging correctly. The word wisdom is defined as the right use or exercise of that knowledge. You do not have to be a scholar to know that some people just do not use the knowledge that they receive in the right way. Many will use it to their advantage to prosper or get revenge on another no matter who they destroy, this is known as wicked wisdom. However, wisdom that comes from God, which is only given to us by accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, not only blesses us, it blesses those around us too.

I do not know how long Job's friends sat with him, but I imagine it seemed like a lifetime to Job as Eliphaz and Bildad constantly criticized every word he spoke to defend himself. Bildad continues, this time not even talking to him directly, but as if he were not even there. He was insinuating that Job was an unclean worm who could not be justified with God.

“Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places. Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise? How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman? Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight. How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?” - Job 25:2-6.

God had already justified Job's true nature by saying he was perfect and upright, so, Job really had nothing to prove to his friends, but he found himself over and over again trying to prove that he had not done anything to cause all the suffering he had gone through. You can be sure that there are going to be people out there waiting to be the first to say, “I knew you were not as good as you say you are” or, my favorite, “I know who you really are”. God knows who we really are and all those who have Christ in them are justified. “Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.” - Romans 3:24-26.

Despite the many accusations of his friends, Job never once lost his integrity replying, although Job felt like God had taken away his judgment (understanding) of what was going on and that his soul was being Vexed (tormented) he knew that the Spirit of God was within him. Job was not about to let any of these men cause him to lose his integrity (moral soundness or purity).

“As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul; All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils; My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit. God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me. My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.” - Job 27:2-6.

Sometimes we just can not understand why we are going through such a struggle and it can torment us, this is when we need to realize that we have the Holy Spirit within us. He is our guide and comfort and the only one who keeps a hold of our integrity when we are faced with such turmoil. “The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them. Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death. The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.” - Proverbs 11:3-5.

The knowledge of God's secret will, the will of His providence, is out of our reach, and what God has reserved to Himself. It belongs to the Lord our God and there it will stay. To know the particulars of what God will do hereafter, and the reasons of what He is doing now, is what Job wonders.

“Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding? Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air. Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame thereof with our ears. God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof... And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.” - Job 28:20-23,28.

If we know God, His wisdom will appear in the practice and observance of our religion and we are guidedby the Holy Spirit. Knowledge is power and God trusts only His people with His power, as we fear Him we receive that power and the ability to overcome every situation we are faced with. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” - II Timothy 1:7.

While the world just pretends to have knowledge of God, they are blind to the truth, sadly, bringing many people down to hell with them. No one has to be blind to the truth, no one has to spend eternity in hell. All will have the opportunity to receive eternal life, but they must be willing to open their eyes to see the truth. “Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right. The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them. Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.” - Proverbs 20:11-13.

Those that know God through Christ need to be careful, there are many deceivers out there working for Satan, looking to get us off track. They can not take away our salvation, but they can deceive us and pull us out of His blessings here on earth and into deceiving those who are not saved. Jesus said, “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” - Matthew 24:11-14.

Christ will return one day, when all of His people have finally opened their eyes to the truth, received the knowledge of Christ, and accepted it. Praise God that He is longsuffering, meaning patiently awaiting for all His people to receive His Son before He destroys the world and gives His people a new home to dwell. “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up...Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.” - II Peter 3:9,10,13. Praise God!

God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
