Message TitleLet Jesus Touch You

Hello My Friend,

There is a Gospel hymn that I love to sing, “He Touched Me”, The chorus goes like this, “He touched me, Oh, He touched me, and all the joy that floods by soul. Something happened, and now, I know, He touched, and made me whole.” When Jesus touches you, something really does happen, and you know it. The closer we get to Him, the more we truly feel His presence in our lives. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;” - 2 Corinthians 5:17,18.

People came from all around came to see Jesus, longing for one touch to be healed of their infirmities, and He did heal all who came to Him. Amongst them were a group of people intent on catching Him do something they could use to have Him killed under the their law. He begins to speak, first of those who believe in Him. And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all. And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh. Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.” - Luke 6:19-24.

Believe it or not, Jesus knows when someone that truly believes in Him and touches Him, without them even touching Him. Faith is the key that opens the door to His heart, and yes, we will face a lot of problems from the world because we choose Him, but in the end we will have the victory. “He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.” - Isaiah 25:8.

Jesus continues His speech, this time telling us how to handle those who cause trouble for us.
But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.” - Luke 27:,28,32-35,45.

The most interesting thing about God is that, He blesses the saved and unsaved, Why? So that, all will come to know Jesus. Unfortunately, not all will accept His Son, and there will come a time when His mercy and grace will come to an end for those who refuse to believe. “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” - Galatians 6:7,8.

Many people wondered who Jesus was, some were so afraid of the miracles they saw that they wanted nothing to do with Him, others feared God as they never have before. The Pharisee's could not stand the fact that people were starting to believe that Jesus really was the Son of God who came to save them, they tried everything to make Him look like just an ordinary man.

And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people. And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat. And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner. And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.” - Luke 7:16,36-39,44,47.

We are all sinners, saved by the grace of God, through the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ. No one is better than anyone else, yes, some of us have sinned more than others, but sin is sin, and anyone who thinks themselves as all righteous and without sin better think again, because no one born in this world is without sin. “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive usour sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” - 1 John 1:8-10.

Today's PrayerJesus, You know my heart, my thoughts, and even my actions before I do them. I know that I am who I am today because You touched me. I am not the same creature I was when You picked me up out of the hole I was in, but You are not done with me yet. Lord, lead me and guide me, give me the strength that only You can give me to be more like You and less like me. Let me be a witness and a testimony for those who need You, and even those Yours who lost their way. In Your name, Jesus, Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
