Message TitlePut On Some Faith

Hello My Friend,

Any saved, born again Christian, that is living their lives with Christ in it on a regular basis will tell you that God can, and will do all things. Why is it then that we do not see God do more amazing things in our lives? Lack of faith. While we do believe that with God, all things are possible, deep down we do not believe that it is possible for us. If we want to see God do the impossible in our lives, it's time that we put away our egos, guilt, shame, or hidden sin, and put on some faith. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.” - James 1:3-7.

The key to God even doing the impossible in anyone's lives is Jesus Christ, if we do not know Him personally as our Saviour, than we can never get God's attention in the first place. As Jesus was passing through Judaea, a rich young man came up to Him, he was religious, even followed all ten commandments, but he was lacking one thing. Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” - Mark 10:21-25.

Perhaps the number one reason a person does not accept Christ is their riches. We must never make the mistake of thinking that riches, fame, or fortune without Christ is a gift from God. This is actually the devil, and all he is doing by giving these things to them is sending them straight to hell with him. Without Christ, everything we ever worked for is worthless, and will come to an end, but with Him, we cannot only be prosperous here on earth, but in His Kingdom as well. “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” - 1 Corinthians 3:11-15.

Now, as Jesus came into Jericho, a blind beggar sitting on the side of the road, and hearing the commotion, asked what was going on, when he heard it was Jesus, he did did everything to get His attention.
And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.” - Mark 10:47-52.

Jesus knew what this man wanted, He was just waiting for him to tell Him, and He was looking for His faith. God always knows what we want and need, but quite often we do not receive it because we do not ask. We must understand that while God can intervene at anytime, He does not because He has given everyone free will, the ability to choose whether or not we want Him in our lives. We do not have to wait until we need something miraculous to ask God for something, in fact, it's the small answered prayers that increase our faith that He will answer the big ones. “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” - Romans 15:13.

Jesus was hungry, He went up to a fig tree to get some fruit, knowing that it was not the season to have figs on it yet, yet when He saw there were no figs He cursed the tree. The next morning they passed by to find it withered away.
And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” - Mark 11:22-24.

Faith is believing that we can see God do some amazing things in our lives, we do not need a lot of faith, but we must not doubt God, any doubts, and we hinder Him. God knows what we need, and even what we desire, all we need to do to get it is believe with all our heart. One thing we must realize is that sometimes God does answer no to your requests, when He allows a loved one to die or someone to get sick, it may not be a lack of faith or anything that we have done. God knows what's going on, He sees things that we cannot see, and He uses circumstances like these to show us that there is a purpose for all things, good and bad. “
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” - Romans 8:26-28.

Today's PrayerGod, You love us so much that You are willing to give us anything we need and desire, but we do not always receive them because of our doubt. Lord, increase our faith, give us Your power to walk by faith and not our circumstances. Teach us to love You through happiness, sadness, sickness, and pain, and give us the strength to draw closer to You, with the hope and belief that all things are possible when we believe in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
