Message Title: The Kingdom of God
Hello My Friend,
The Kingdom of God, there seems to be so many ways told in which we can get there, but the truth is, there is only one way, and that is Jesus Christ, He is the door to God. Since the fall of man this has been true, and it will remain that way. “Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.” - Luke 13:24-27.
Many people will have a huge awakening the day they die, they will see Jesus and be cast straight into hell, not because they did not know who He was, but they never believed Him to be their only way to heaven. To the naked eye, many religions appear to be teaching the right things, but God knows the truth. Jesus watches the multitudes of people gathering around and begins to speak about their hypocrisy, noting what really keeps them from believing the truth. “And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me. And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you? And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is. And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass. Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time? Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?” - Luke 12:13-15,54-57.
Covetousness, it's wanting something that someone else has, covetousness is a sin thatneeds to be constantly warned against for happiness and comfort are not dependent on the wealth of this world. The things of the world will not satisfy the desires of a hungry soul.God takes care of His people, every hair on their bodies is protected, and to be honest, a saved born again Christian needs not to fear death because if they died today they would be with Jesus. What we do need to fear is what would happen to those who are not saved. While God does not want to see anyone end up in hell, that's exactly where every person who has not received His as their Savior will end up. He alone has the keys to get us out of being hell bound.“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” - Revelation 1:18.
There are a lot of people who question whether or not Christ truly will return, while we do not know the hour in which He will return, Jesus is coming back, and He has a warning for all, even the saved. “And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not. Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all? And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.” - Luke 12:29-31,37,40-43.
Of course by now, all the people, including the disciples, were wondering just who would be the ones being cast into hell, certainly it must be those who are the worst sinners. Jesus responds, but is probably one that many do not want to hear. “There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” - Luke 13:1-5.
All sin, whether it is murder or thinking of how to murder someone results in the same fate, hell. However, God sent Jesus Christ to give all the chance to escape that fate through repentance. To repent simply means to admit that you are a sinner and need the Saviour to save you. “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” - John 3:15-19.
I know that it is scary to think that today might be your last day living, death is so final, the end of everything, well, at least that is what the world wants to think. However, the truth is this, death is not final, well, not for the soul who has accepted and received Christ. We need not fear death when Christ is in our soul. One day all our pain, sorrow, and even our tears will be wiped away, but until then we need to press forward, by faith, trusting in the Savior, who is right there with us. “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.” - Revelation 21:4,7.

Today's Prayer: (adapted from Psalm 23 & 31) God, You are my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth. I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities; Lord, lead me and guide me, show me the truth, the life, and the way and let me live it. In Jesus' name. Amen.
